Esthetic and reconstructive dentistry is an area of great interest to me. As a teenager, I had a large space between my front teeth that bothered me. I was always self-conscious about it. It’s why I enjoy helping patients find their true vision for themself through their smile.

Finally had some time reflect on our @kristyribitch week @theaacd annual scientific session. What a great time reconnecting with friends @dr_zachsisler @michelsondds @ryanspringerdds @mattwolfedds and celebrating the journey of accreditation with the AACD. It nearly broke me at times, but crossing that stage was one of the best feelings I’ve had in my professional career.
Not all cosmetic cases are smile design, veneers and implants. Sometimes it’s just a little composite resin and tints to make an 8 year old smile again! For me, I knew the accreditation journey with @theaacd would challenge and push me to improve my skills with composite- to manage everyday cases like this one! #memberpostmonday
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s accreditation process is the most recognized advanced cosmetic dentistry credentialing program. After 6 years of stumbles, failures and triumphs I am humbled to share that I am one of 500 dentists world wide to achieve accredited status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Knowing how rigorous the process can be, I’ve kept it rather quiet. I cannot say “thank you” enough to the patients who endured the 18,000 pictures I took, or multiple appointments to make things perfect, or to the team at our office who helped me look at the positives as I obsessed over every little detail or the mentors who challenged me to improve and to grow. And, of course, to my family, my wife, Kristy, who encouraged me when I failed and wanted to give up, who wiped tears from my eyes as I grew more frustrated, who celebrated as I passed each step.
